Recco ("we", "us", "our") operates the Recco mobile application and www.myrecco.co. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• User content: reactions, notes, captions, voice memos, weekly lists, friend messages, market asks/replies, and other content you create in the app.
• Device information: push notification tokens so we can send alerts you opt into.
• Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data via Sentry to keep the app stable. Sentry may receive identifiers linked to your account when errors occur.

How we use information

• Provide core app features (friends, recommendations, notifications).
• Maintain your account and authenticate you.
• Improve reliability and fix bugs.
• Respond to support requests.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to operate Recco:

• Google and Apple (sign-in)
• Convex (backend database and authentication)
• Expo (push notification delivery)
• Sentry (error monitoring)

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, we permanently delete your profile, authentication records, and associated personal data from our systems, subject to limited backup retention that is automatically purged on our provider's schedule.

Your choices

• Manage notification preferences in the app.
• Delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete account.

Children

Recco is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
